Ilyena Lamenkov was the commanding officer of Lamenkov's Liability in 3085.[1]

History[edit]

She was born on Kittery an joined the AFFC. Lamenkov served the Federated Suns with distinction during the FedCom Civil War, reaching the rank of Captain in the Twentieth Avalon Hussars prior to the Jihad and stationed on Mira with the unit. She serve well during the first years of the Jihad, but after the learned of Devlin Stone and his growing success, she resigned her commission and made her way to find his command. It took her to years to catch up to Stone's Lament, relying only on her own abilities and scarce resources.

When she found them, she proved herself by stealing the Dragon piloted by Captain Oosterhout one of Stone's command battalion company commanders and then evading capture for nearly a day. When she was found, cornered and asked to surrender she answered:

Wouldn't you rather have me on your side?

Though relunctant and believing her to by a Word of Blake spy, her story checked out and she was assigned to Oosterhout's lance. She got her call sign at that time from a comment from Oosterhout saying she was a major liability. She was finally able to prove herself to him and he apologyced shorty before his death at Sydney, during the Liberation of Terra.

Chosen by General Belle Lee to lead her own Errant Force, Lamenkov's Liability, she distinguished herself in several skirmishes against Capellan forces in the liberated Protectorate[1], among them, the actions of the unit in Schedar during 3085 against the Schedar Enlightenment and Liberation Force.[2]

Personality[edit]

She was unconventional, brash, and crude, but eagerly seeks out any challenges, traits that were a problem for a regular army command but would make her an asset in irregular duty.[1]

BattleMechs[edit]

By 3085 she was piloting a customized TDR-10M Thunderbolt Ilyena.[1]
