Jintara Damri was the commanding officer of the Fourth Regulan Hussars as of 3152.[1]

History[edit]

Colonel Damri's Fourth Hussars were assigned alongside the Third Free Worlds Guards with the recon-in-force of the Wolf Empire world of Tongatapu in early 3152. Since Damri's Regulans had not served alongside a non-Regulan unit since the reabsorption of the Regulan Fiefs in 3148, and had actually battled the Third Guards on Aitutaki in 3140, the two units spent several weeks on Aitutaki performing joint exercises in order to determine if Regulan troops could serve alongside the rest of the Free Worlds League Military. After several fistfights and a few live fire exchanges between Regulan and Guards BattleMechs, Damri gave her soldiers an ultimatum: either they could cooperate with the soldiers of the Third Guards or they would face her wrath themselves. This succeeded in obfuscating the enmity separating the two units, although the occasional fistfight still occurred.[1]

On 22 February, the Fourth Hussars made planetfall on Tongatapu right outside of the planet's Technicron facility and were attacked by the garrisoning 103rd Wolf Garrison Cluster soon after leaving their landing zone. The Clan Wolf unit struck both the Fourth Hussars and Third Guards with hit-and-run attacks which, according to Damri, made it appear as if they were buying time for off-world reinforcements to arrive. These Wolf reinforcements never materialized and the combined efforts of the Fourth Hussars and Third Guards drove the 103rd Wolf Garrison's broken remains off of Tongatapu on 11 March. The success of this operation not only reclaimed Tongatapu for the Free Worlds League, it also proved that Free Worlds soldiers and their erstwhile Regulan countrymen could find common cause in any future battles against Clan Wolf.[1]
