Biography
Fourth Succession War
At some point in his early career Rhinestag once reported a mine site that had been abandoned a century earlier as a "forward Kurita base," an error his commander routinely reminded him of.[3]
On 6 June, 3029 Leutnant Rhinestag of the Ryde Militia was briefly captured by Akira Brahe and the Genyosha. His captives ordered him to radio the Genyosha presence to Ryde Militia Headquarters and provide needed context to the Genyosha's unusual activities. Rather then raiding the planet, the Genyosha 'Mechs were constructing a model of the infamous battle of Mallory's World as a challenge to the Kell Hounds. His captors also gave him a holovid which he was to transmit via HPG to the Kell Hounds. His commander, Komandant Wyler, receiving only half that information due to the effects of coercion was led to believe Rhinestag had managed remarkable insight into a Kurita commander's thinking. Wyler then remarked "when you get to my position, I hope like hell you have a recruit like yourself in your command."[4]
Command of Ryde Militia
It is unknown if Rhinestag kept his vow of silence, perhaps his phenomenal "insight" contributed to a rising career which saw him achieve Komandant Wyle's position. Regardless, on 3 October 3046 was the Komandant of the Ryde Militia when the Chu-sa Arik Arlansson led his training battalion for a raid against Ryde. The "curse" of Komandant Wyler was also granted when a brash young Leftenant Galen Cox worked with Rhinestag to repel the invaders.[2]
