Major General Karl Blum was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's 281st Mechanized Infantry Division as of 2764.[1]

Blum liked his troops to work hard and play hard. While on-duty he expected complete professionalism and discipline, but off-duty he was happy to turn a blind eye to partying which didn't excessively violate civilian property rights, local laws or SLDF regulations.[1]
