Karlicek Mlynarik was the commanding officer of the Third Oriente Hussars as of 2788.[1]

Colonel Mlynarik, serving with the Third Oriente Hussars, was sent to defend the world of Tyrfing in 2788. While Mlynarik and the Third Hussars were familiar with the tactics of the Capellan Confederation, they often found themselves clashing with the Lyran Commonwealth forces attacking the planet. On top of this tactical unfamiliarity, most of the Third's aerospace pilots died to a single chemical weapons attack and the rest of Mlynarik's conventional forces were battered into retreating off-world. While Mlynarik's BattleMechs fought with reckless abandon in order to preserve the Free Worlds League's territory, by the end of the fighting on Tyrfing they were reduced to firing at anything that moved in the hopes they would leave the battle with their lives.[1]
