The title Knight of the Sphere was granted within the Republic of the Sphere.

History
The order was formed by Devlin Stone and David Lear in 3088.[1]
Ranks
Paladin
The title Paladin of the Republic is the highest true title within the order. Numbering eighteen members, seventeen Paladins and the Exarch form the Council of Paladins the ruling body of the Republic, with the final member being the secretive Ghost Paladin.
The further honorific title of Paladin Exemplar is bestowed upon the oldest serving Paladin.[2]
Knight
The title of Knight of the Republic is reserved for one hundred members of the order.[3]
Knight-Errant
The title of Knight-Errant of the Republic is the lowest true rank within the order, the total number of Knights-Errant at any given time reflects the number of worlds within the Republic.[3]
Honorary Knights
Republic Exarchs, from time to time, granted honorary knighthood to distinguished individuals, generally scientists and artists. Honorary knights included scientist Pierre Cormier and composer Eduard Bioucek.[4]

- Janella Lakewood: Knight bound for Ronel in 3133. Promoted to Paladin.
- Alexi Holt: Knight who led a mission to oversee HPG reactivation on Wyatt in 3135.
- Burton Marik-Davion: son of Paladin Victor Steiner-Davion, KIA on Wei during the Capellan Crusades.
- Castor Hobbes: Knight that led relief troops to Skye and lost the planet.
- Conner Rhys-Monroe, son of Senator Gerald Monroe: Knight who resigned his post in 3135, becoming the military leader of the Senate Alliance.
- Consuela Dagmar: Knight-Errant promoted a Knight during the Capellan Crusades.
- Cray Stansill: Knight who resigned his post in 3135, becoming one of the military leaders of the Senate loyalist, until he was killed in combat by Tara Campbell.
- Crystal Liveston Synd: Ghost Knight who led a Fidelis assault on Ryde in 3136.
- Deandra Lowe: Knight that doubles as a courier travelling and sending information between different parties and hence getting secrets important for the Republic.[5]
- Gresco Hancock: ghost knight working infiltrated as a mercenary on Callison in 3136. She killed the planetary governor, hostile to the Republic, and became the new governor of the planet.

- Jahmil Yost: Knight that investigated links from Jacob Bannson to a series of missing shipments of decommissioned BattleMechs from various Prefecture capitals to the boneyards on Terra.

- Jeremy Chin: Ghost Knight who devastated Kwamashu in 3136, later losing his mind and committing suicide for that 21 years later.

- Reo Jones: Knight who infiltrated Jacob Bannson's mercenaries on Wyatt in 3135.
- Rick Raisho: Former Knight by October 3145.[11]
- Siyanda Ashanti: Knight that was sent to break up the protests in Proserpina, but ended up the target of an assassination attempt and later died trying to stop the jailbreak of the group's leadership.[12]
- Sonya Artigonn: Knight that investigated links from Jacob Bannson to a series of missing shipments of decommissioned BattleMechs from various Prefecture capitals to the boneyards on Terra.

- Jonathan Yasuda: Knight-Errant, KIA on Wei during the Capellan Crusades.
- Julia Marbury: Knight-Errant, MIA on Liao during the Capellan Crusades.
- Kyle Powers: killed on Achernar by Steel Wolves officer Torrent.
