[[Star Commander]] Kyle commanded a raid against the [[Clan Protectorate]] world of [[Asellus Australis]] in order to gauge the strength of the planet's [[Clan Nova Cat|Nova Cat]] defenders. The Wolf ''[[batchall]]'' was answered by a [[Binary]] of Cats and the fight quickly proved to be lopsided in the Wolves' favor until the leader of the Protectorate forces called for a halt to the fighting. The raid on Asellus Australis was determined to be a success on all counts for the Wolf Watch, as Kyle was able to receive plenty of surveillance information during the fighting. As the [[Wolf Empire]] continued to expand, Kyle and the Wolf Watch's target list similarly grew in size and scope. His service to the [[Khan of Clan Wolf|Khan]] took him to many battlefields, both overt and subtle, and Kyle's wide array of skills made him a valuable asset for the achievement of the Wolves' goals.<ref name=RGIC5p6/>
