History
Lander's Lancers were a mercenary unit working for House Marik. In 2860 they reportedly staged a large-scale attack against Tsamma (possibly mixed up with Tsanna; see Notes below) that was stopped by the defending McCormack's Fusiliers. It was noted that the Lancers' skillful use of their Griffins cost the Fusiliers of over a third of their heavy BattleMechs, including all of their Orions.[1]
In 2920 the Fusiliers would gain a belated revenge, deploying an elite assault battalion against Lander's Lancers in a surprise attack on Lopez. The Lancers suffered severe damage before they could mount an effective resistance.[1]

Notes
- Given that Tsamma is deep in Federated Suns space and was apparently never held by the Capellan Confederation, it is likely that the system the Lancers raided in 2860 was in fact Tsanna, a world that was much fought over by several parties including the Confederation over the years.
