As of ca. 3025, Kommandant Laurine White, a highly decorated veteran of several House Steiner campaigns, was on a special assignment to test the first of the experimental BNC-3S variants of the Banshee and was thus considered a notable pilot of this particular BattleMech design. On this assignment she answered directly to Archon Katrina Steiner.[1]
Her personality was described as "intelligent" and "loyal".[1]
White was also the first MechWarrior to take the new Banshee model into battle on New Home in 3026. Cut off from her lance while field testing the new design, White encountered a command lance from the 5th Regulan Hussars consisting of two Shadow Hawks, a Phoenix Hawk and a Marauder. Destroying one Shadow Hawk with the first volley, she then crippled the Phoenix Hawk before moving to duel the enemy commander's Marauder. Forced to withdraw by heavy heat, damage and the remaining Shadow Hawk moving into a flanking position, White had nevertheless proven the new design's worth.[2]
