Major General Liam Gravey was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's 202nd Mechanized Infantry Division from at least 2755 to 2763.[1][2]

Gravey was the commander of the 202nd Mechanized Infantry Division at the time of the Birthday Proclamations, when it was ordered to withdraw from the Rim Worlds Republic, together with the rest of the Twentieth Army.
Commanding General Aleksandr Kerensky was very keen to prevent, against the wishes of Stefan Amaris, this withdrawal leaving any SLDF equipment or data in the hands of Rim Worlds forces. Kerensky's wishes were however thwarted by errors committed by Gravey amongst others, who during his Division's withdrawal from their garrison post of Fort McHenry, stripped the facility so poorly that 50% remained in working order to be captured by RWR forces.
Following this incident and the 202nd falling back to Strandfontein, in 2763 Major General Jonas Covington was sent by SLDF Regular Army Command to relieve and replace Gravey for his incompetence, bypassing the usual chain of command via Twentieth Army and LIX Corps. Gravey disputed this unusual breach of SLDF etiquette and tradition, but eventually accepted the orders and turned over command to Covington.[1][2]
