Tai-sa Lincoln Marovitch was the commander of the Eighth Sword of Light, with the Draconis Combine, from at least 3144 to 3152.[1][2]

History[edit]

Conquest of Robinson[edit]

A Sho-sa in charge of the Eighth Sword of Light's Third Battalion during the conquest of Robinson, following the death of the unit's CO and XO in the course of that campaign, Marovitch was promoted to lead the Eighth Sword as a whole.[3] After the pacification of Robinson, Marovitch remained on the world until at least December 3145, with his new command.[1]

Task Force ERUPTIO[edit]

Still on Robinson in late 3149, Marovitch participated in its defense against the Republic of the Sphere's Task Force ERUPTIO, where at Marovitch's prompting the Eighth Sword heroically defended Robinson Standard BattleWorks industriplex against Paladin Max Ergen's forces. Marovitch's 'Mech was however downed by Paladin Ergen, which caused the Eighth to conduct a fighting retreat.[4] Due to his 'Mech being disabled, Marovitch was not however able to escape with his unit, and was captured by the Republic Armed Forces.[5]

Sakhara[edit]

Eventually leaving captivity and returning to the Combine, Marovitch and the Eighth were held back from combat until 3151, to recover from the losses experienced on Robinson. This did not sit well with Marovitch, who repeatedly and angrily demanded to be sent to New Avalon or elsewhere in the Dragon's Tongue, to help stem the Combine's territorial losses to the Federated Suns. His superiors did not agree, even going so far as to impound his transport assets, but this ended up being insufficient to stop Marovitch.

Taking back his DropShips by force from the guarding Friendly Persuaders, Marovitch lifted to rendezvous with the Eighth's JumpShip, whose captain assisted him due to their long standing covert romantic relationship. Travelling to Sakhara in the hopes of drawing off as many Armed Forces of the Federated Suns units as possible, Marovitch's loud announcement he was going to claim the world caused the defending mercenary White Witches to decide that discretion was better part of valor, retreating off-world before the Eighth landed. Facing only a scratch battalion from the Sakhara Academy, Marovitch quickly brushed these aside, before digging in for any AFFS counterattack. Marovitch's insubordination, combined with his success, caused a major problem for his superiors. They could not tolerate the fact he had disobeyed orders, but at the same time, his capture of Sakhara made him too valuable to interfere with. This left the Warlord of the New Samarkand Military District unsure if he should demand Marovitch's seppuku once the border had been secured.[2]

BattleMech[edit]

Lincoln Marovitch was known to have piloted a Tenshi OmniMech.[4]
