Planetary History[edit]

Star League[edit]

In 2761, a local crime syndicate, the Fist of the Serpent, kidnapped the President of the Luxen planetary assembly Ronald Buchman. While this was outside the responsibility of the Star League, the commander of the Thirty-eighth Jump Infantry Division reacted to local intelligence sources and conducted a planetwide search and rescue mission. At the same time, the unit conducted strikes against known sites of the criminal organization. Within three days, the President was rescued safely and The Fist of the Serpent was entirely destroyed.[33]

Succession Wars[edit]

Luxen is one of the few worlds to have escaped the horrors of the Succession Wars. Totally untouched by the vast conflicts, Luxen is important to the Magistracy for another reason: It is the home of the Canopian Medical Sciences Research and Training Complex. This facility produces the lion's share of the skilled medical personnel in the Magistracy. Beyond these medical personnel Luxen relies on its former status as a province capital and the large supply of gemstones and precious metals available on the southern continent.[1]

The Dark Age[edit]

Majesty Metals and Manufacturing underwent rapid and pronounced growth in the Dark Age, booming alongside the rest of the Magistracy economy in the thirty-second century. MMM benefited from the money pouring into the Magistracy from the Capellan Confederation and Duchy of Andurien, opening two new manufacturing plants, one located on Luxen and another on Ballad II.[34]
