Malcom Katsuyori was the Director of the ISF in 2850 and involved in the Shadow War.

Malcom Katsuyori was leading ISF when Yoguchi Kurita died.[1] When his siblings fought against each other for the control of the Draconis Combine (an era known as the Shadow Wars), he sided with Roweena Kurita.
Roweena Kurita used her influence at the ISF director Malcom Katsuyori to increase the power of the agency when they allowed the Internal Security Force entrance into her PRE (People's Reconstruction Effort). She used the PRE as cover to increase their influence within the society. When the hostilities ended and the coordinator start an investigation about the work of his sister, led by Rajiv Sulevani an internal split happened. The leader of the monitoring tried to use the circumstances to purge the ISF from traitors. Several hundred agents lost their lives during the conflict. The PRE was erased but the some supporter of Roweena Kurita survived within ISF.[2]
Malcom Katsuyori died or lost his position during or just after those purges.[citation needed]
