Mariano Pascual was an officer of the LAAF and LCAF active during the Jihad. After the death of former brigade commander Annette Ridgewell on Tharkad and the heavy price the Arcturan Guards paid as part of Operation SCOUR, the brigade needed a new leader to provide stability. Lyran high command promoted Pascual to fill the post.[1] Pascual worked hard to improve morale in the unit, rebuilding the 20th Arcturan Guards in 3083 as well as rotating the brigade's regiments through their homeworld of Arcturus.[2]
