Governor Marilou Grogan was the Planetary Governor of New Aragon, for the Republic of the Sphere, from at least 3130 to 3135.[2][3][4]
History[edit]
During September 3134, while the Swordsworn were assisting New Aragon to defend against a Capellan attack, Governor Grogan met with Duke Aaron Sandoval. Sandoval was hopefully of gaining Grogan's support for bringing New Aragon under the Federated Suns banner, but he was unable to determine her loyalties.[5]
Early in February 3135, forces from McCarron's Armored Cavalry raided New Aragon, before being expelled by the Fifth Triarii Protectors. The impact of the fighting however included the destruction of the industrial sector of Jahrman, the second-largest city in Tandoh province. This damage provided a pretext for pro-Capellan Confederation Dynasty Party leader Lord Hu Kahn Sei to call for a no-confidence vote in Governor Grogan. Rumor at the time suggested Governor Grogan would seek to relieve New Aragon's Capellan leaning Legate Camilo Gutierrez of duty, after he had been criticized by both Paladins Anders Kessel and David McKinnon for his recent actions.[2]
Towards the end of March 3135, Governor Grogan continued to attempt to quell rising pro-Capellan Confederation sentiment represented by the Dynasty Party on New Aragon and neighboring worlds, decrying the recent embrace of Capellan nationalism on St. Andre as a sham imposed by force.[6]
By May 3135, Governor Grogan had removed Legate Gutierrez from office, but this only resulted in Gutierrez openly joining Dynasty Party leaders as well as one of Grogan's former aides Ursa Pochemkin, and demanding control of New Aragon be returned to Chancellor Daoshen Liao.[7]
Personal Appearance[edit]
Considered a handsome woman by some, as of 3134 Grogan had shoulder-length brown hair, which was streaked with gray.[5]
