Colonel Mark Timur was the commander of the Second Covenant Guards, with the Free Worlds League, from at least 3145 to 3151.[1][2]

Covenant Worlds Militia[edit]
As of April 3138, Colonel Timur was in charge of the Covenant Worlds Militia, which was assigned to Covenant Worlds 1st Expeditionary Force under Thaddeus Marik. While in the Miaplacidus system, before departing to aide the Oriente Protectorate against the Duchy of Andurien, Timur helped coordinate the Expeditionary Force and their new organizational plans.[3]
Second Covenant Guards[edit]
By 3145, Timur was in charge of the Second Covenant Guards, who were based on Van Diemen IV.[1] In this role, Colonel Timur placed a strong emphasis on being adaptable on the battlefield, and often trained his troops in defensive combat drops behind enemy lines.[4]
In August 3151, Timur and the Second participated in the Covenant Worlds' invasion of the Wolf Empire, landing near the capital city of the world of Marcus on the 26th. Eventually engaging the Clan Wolf garrison near a Word of Blake Jihad era firebase, which called itself the 1286th Provisional Garrison Trinary, Timur only managed to achieve victory at great cost. The Second's losses in this battle included Timur's XO and several other junior officers.[2]
