MekHQ is a freeware computer tool for use in conjunction with the computer game MegaMek.[1]
MekHQ helps users manage and maintain their forces between games of MegaMek by recreating the BattleTech rules for salvage and repair. The program features financial book keeping, pilot skill progression, ranks, recruitement and parts management, as well as strategic campaign planning. It includes a full, year-accurate, database of planets tied to Sarna's catalog. Though it supports all kinds of units, from support vessels to infantry and warships, as of 2021, the program is geared towards Mercenary units, and has limited support for pirate or army-style organizations. Like its associated program, MegaMek, MekHQ is Java-based, and runs on any system that supports the Java Runtime Environment.
