Melva Golan was a MechWarrior, who served with the Northwind Highlanders' Republican Guards, during the Dark Age Era.[1]
Personal Appearance[edit]
A tall and lithe woman, Golan had black hair and green eyes.[1]
History[edit]
A mercenary freelancer before the Blackout, Golan mostly lived and worked outside the Republic of the Sphere, only coming to Galatea in its role as the Mercenary Star. Nevertheless, despite no known connections with Northwind, Golan enthusiastically answered Countess Tara Campbell call to join the Republican Guards as a regular MechWarrior without extra pay.[1]
As of 3133, Golan was a member of the Guards Command Lance, headed by the Regiment's CO Colonel Denard Marcus. Her other Lancemates were Kurt Larsen and Henryk Corya.[2]
BattleMech[edit]
Golan was known to have piloted a Black Knight BattleMech, serial number NH6921-47A, nicknamed "Wailing Banshee". This 'Mech originally belonged to the Northwind Highlanders, but was lost during the Word of Blake Jihad, when its MechWarrior was killed. From there it passed into Golan's family, from whom she inherited it.[1]
