Mike "Miken" Nielsen (b. 1971) is a freelance artist and illustrator who produced art for a number of FASA era BattleTech, Shadowrun, w:Earthdawn titles, but is most notably recalled as the artist and creator of VOR: The Maelstrom.
Hired by FASA right out of High School, Nielsen would remain at the company for 11 years, producing work for all its games and progressing from art duties to game designer, conceiving and pitching to FASA VOR: The Malestrom. Nielsen would retain the rights to VOR after FASA's closure and has made a number of efforts to revive the game.
