MilitiaMech

A MilitiaMech is a combat unit based on an IndustrialMech chassis. Though not built to the same standard as a BattleMech, a well-designed MilitiaMech can be an effective combatant.

The main difference between a MilitiaMech and an armed IndustrialMech is it's design and purpose. A MilitiaMech is designed expressly for combat, carrying heavy weapons and effective armor. Armed IndustrialMechs are often designated "MODs" to indicate they have been refitted with improvised weaponry. These refits usually skimp on armor protection and fire control systems, making them a weapon of last resort.
