Tai-sa Millard Greer was the commander of the Seventh Legion of Vega, with the Draconis Combine, from at least 3145 to 3152.[1][2]

Dominion Raids[edit]
Greer, with the Seventh Legion of Vega, was based on Shionoha as of 3145.[1] Based on the Rasalhague Dominion border, around 3145 he and the Seventh Legion faced raids from the 343rd Battle Cluster and the Third Vega Regulars, which caused significant losses.[3]
In 3150, just before the Seventh Legion were due to be rotated to garrison newly conquered Federated Suns, Greer was however able to get revenge on the Third Vega Regulars. Caught as they were boarding the DropShips by a diversionary strike on Shionoha by the Third, the Seventh Legion redeployed, destroying three quarters of the Dominion unit before they could finally retreat off-world.[4]
Diminished Legion[edit]
Greer's reward for this success however, was having his best troops transferred to replace losses in other Regiments, which massively decreased the capacity of the Seventh Legion. This became apparent while the Seventh was on Bremond in 3151, and faced a raid by the mercenary Brigade of Shiva who managed to escape unmolested with over one hundred tons of supplies, due to a series of self-inflicted disasters caused by the units green replacement troops. Tai-sa Greer attempt to limit the impact of this lack of capability, by concentrating his veteran troops in his First Battalion, leaving Second Battalion as extremely green.
This approach however made Second Battalion almost entirely combat ineffective, as well as creating hostility between the two Battalion, to the extent they could not be allowed together while off-duty. A conscientious officer, Greer reported his lack of success to his superiors, though the failing occupation of the Federated Suns prevented any action being taken against him.[2]
