Tai-sa Moishe Tolkowski was the commander of the Seventh Sword of Light, with the Draconis Combine, from 3144 to at least 3145.[1]

History[edit]

A Chu-sa acting as the Executive Officer of the Seventh Sword, when it participated in the Battle of Robinson in 3144, Tolkowski assumed command of the unit after his CO Tai-sa Lawrence Pinkett died during an assault on the city of Beuller.[1]

During the Beuller assault itself, Tolkowski stood fast on a hill outside the city, and defended a strong counter-attack by the Twentieth Avalon Hussars which was trying the seize the Combine's DropShips. Despite being low on ammunition and outnumbered, Tolkowski's personal courage inspired his Company of Heavy and Assault 'Mechs, to take on the Suns light 'Mechs and armor at melee range.[2] Following this successful stand, and learning of Tai-sa Pinkett death, Tolkowski then reconsolidated the Seventh Sword and repositioned them with the Eighth Sword of Light. He then led a renewed attack on Beuller the next day, overrunning its defenders, and finally taking the city.

Due to his impressive performance, Tolkowski was given the honor of raising the Combine flag in the courtyard of House Sandoval's palace, after the world had surrendered.[3][4] Subsequently, Tolkowski was formerly promoted to Tai-sa and official command of the Seventh Sword, with whom he remained on Robinson through to at least December 3145.[5]

BattleMech[edit]

Tolkowski was known to have piloted a Shiro BattleMech. After his first Shiro was damaged in the fighting around Beuller, he was awarded a new SH-2P Shiro by the Gunji-no-Kanrei.[2][3][4]
