Monica Talasi was the commanding officer of the FWLS Histria Azure during the 2817 invasion of Bella I.[1]

Captain Talasi, commanding the Free Worlds League vessel Histria Azure, was part of the force sent to recapture Bella I from the Lyran Commonwealth in April 2817. Following the FWLS Pretoria Castle in an attack on the defending WarShip LCS Edelweiss, Talasi watched as the heavier destroyer annihilated the Castle in just under two minutes of fighting. Realizing that her ship was doomed, as the Edelweiss outmatched the Azure in both firepower and maneuverability, Talasi aimed her ship directly at the Edelweiss and ordered its engines set to maximum thrust. She then took control of the ship's helm and ordered all crew members to evacuate, remaining aboard even as the Edelweiss shredded her vessel's forward sections.[1]
As the Edelweiss swung away from the Azure, Talasi managed to sideswipe the enemy vessel, removing the destroyer's entire starboard hull and detonating several of its ammunition magazines. With a brief flash of light, both ships were entirely destroyed, although the eight lifeboats successfully launched from the Histria Azure far outnumbered the zero survivors remaining from the Edelweiss.[1]
