The Monument to Man is a man-made structure, with a height of about 20 meters, containing a time capsule of human cultural objects. It was placed in orbit of the planet-less and unclaimed white main sequence star SLSC A0V.4900 on 30 October 3077.[1]

SLSC A0V.4900 is located in the Gum Nebula, in the Spinward Sector of the Deep Periphery, and is approximately 1,009 light-years from Terra.[2][3]
