The Monument to Man is a man-made structure, with a height of about 20 meters, containing a time capsule of human cultural objects. It was placed in orbit of the planet-less and unclaimed white main sequence star SLSC A0V.4900 on 30 October 3077.

SLSC A0V.4900 is located in the Gum Nebula, in the Spinward Sector of the Deep Periphery, and is approximately 1,009 light-years from Terra.
