Ivanov was raised to revere the brave Liao MechWarriors, but over the years, his idealism was replaced with cynicism and he chose to become a gun for hire.[1]

Nicolai Ivanov is one of the pilots the player may receive when starting a new Career Mode game with MechWarrior 5: Heroes of the Inner Sphere.
