Description
Intended as the pinnacle of Clan military advancement when first launched in 2932, the fearsome Nightlord-class battleship commonly serves as a task force command ship among the Clan toumans.[1][2]
While the bulk of the Clan WarShip fleets consist of former SLDF vessels that accompanied the Exodus fleet to the Pentagon Worlds, even with periodic refits and upgrades they are little changed from those used during the Amaris Civil War. While the bulk of the Clans were content with this situation, the naval focused Clan Snow Raven were not, seeking to produce something designed to take full advantage of the advances developed by the Clans.[1][2]
The resulting Nightlord was the most advanced WarShip developed until the introduction of the mammoth Leviathan, boasting armor, firepower and cargo capacity superior to the Star League era McKenna. While serving a fleet and touman flagships for a number of Clans, the high cost and large number of still serviceable ex-SLDF ships has greatly limited the volume of Nightlords outside the Snow Raven fleets, with Clan Ghost Bear boasting the lion's share.[1][2]
Armament
Carrying a suitable large weapons array for a Battleship, the Nightlords primary weapons are a series of Naval Autocannons supported by capital-grade lasers, PPCs and Gauss Rifles. Two ER Large Lasers supporting a pair of NAC/25s, an NL55, Medium NPPC and Medium N-Gauss are carried in the forward and aft weapons bays, with twin ER Large Lasers, two ER PPCs, NAC/10, NAC/25, Medium N-Gauss and one NL35, NL45 and NL55 mounted on each forward and aft angle. Each broadside mounts two ER Large Lasers, two paired sets of NAC/10s and NAC/40s, a NL35 and NL45, another Medium NPPC and Medium NGauss. Carrying a hundred and fifty rounds for each Naval Autocannon class and two-hundred and forty N-Gauss reloads, combined with two-thousand and two Double Heat Sinks give the Nightlord impressive endurance for its size and role.[1][2]
Cargo
Aside from its ability to carry four DropShips, the Nightlord has the capacity to carry a combined Galaxy of OmniMechs and Elementals, along with twenty OmniFighters for defensive purposes.[1][2]

- CGB Ursa Major - This Vessel is assigned to Clan Ghost Bear's Naval Reserve.[3]

- CSR Snow Raven - This Vessel is assigned to Clan Snow Raven's Fleet Command Star.[5]

- CStV Dark Asp - This Vessel is Clan Steel Viper's flagship.[6]
- Clan Jade Falcon
- Emerald Talon - The ship was built for Clan Jade Falcon, which it served as the flagship of Emerald Talon Assault Naval Star. The ship's star partipated in Operation Revival, where it forced the surrender of Zoetermeer in late 3050.[7] The ship continued to serve the Falcons well into the 32nd Century. During this time, it was part of the invasion of the Republic of the Sphere, where it supported the attack on Skye. In the Falcon's 2nd Battle for Skye, the ship fought the Lyran Battlecruiser, Yggdrasil in a brutal duel in December of 3134. The Emerald Talon received a considerable amount of damage and was forced to withdraw from Skye.[8] The ship returned to the Falcon's Occupational Zone where it took part in the Jade Falcon Civil War. It served again as part of Malvina Hazen's forces and was ultimately crippled by the Falcon's Aegis-Class Warship Jade Talon in the final battle of the war over Sudeten. Afterwards, Khan Hazen ordered the ship to be crashed into the capital city of Hammarr as an object lesson to the Clan.[9]
- Clan Diamond Shark
- CDS Terror of the Deep - The ship was constructed for the Clan Diamond Shark's Touman. The Battleship became the flagship of Touman's Aerospace forces. As of 3077, the ship had traveled to the Inner Sphere where it was permenantly assigned to safe-guard its interests in Twycross system.[10]

- Great Coyote Spirit - This vessel is Clan Coyote's flagship, it is assigned to the Golden Keshik (Clan Coyote).[11]
