Overview

Nikita Barrett (b. ???? - d. ????) was the third member of the Barrett family to command the mercenary unit "Barrett's Fusiliers".[1]

Biography

Nikita Barrett was a graduate of the Orloff Military Academy in the Free Worlds League[2] and the grandson of Alonzo Barrett, the former member of the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces who founded the Fusiliers after resigning from the 3rd Royal Guards just before the turn of the millennium.[1]

Nikita's father Raul took command of the Fusiliers after Alonzo died in 3035, serving until his own death during Operation Guerrero in 3057.[1] The Fusiliers fought on Shuen Wan under Raul before receiving orders to support the Capellan Confederation forces also engaged in Guerrero; the Fusiliers were well treated by the Capellans, in part due to the professionalism the Fusiliers displayed when Raul died[1] and Nikita assumed command of the Fusiliers, proving himself in combat on Old Kentucky.[2]

Described as one of a new breed of Fusilier officer and a natural leader, Nikita possessed a solid grasp of combined-arms tactics and would serve as commander of the Fusiliers until at least 3067.[2]
