The Noius Archipelagus Institute of Science (NAIS) is a Kuritan academic institution focused on the development and education of military science and technology.[1] Military science and technology were the focus of education at this school, which was founded to compete with the New Avalon Institute of Science[2] It is located on the Noius Archipelagus, on the planet Kaznejoy.[1]
The majority of students matriculating at the NAIS are rejected applicants of the Imperial Institute of Technology or other prefecture-level academic institutions, who then apply to the NAIS as their "last chance" to avoid service as an "average citizen worker"[1], and in 3025 Noius Archipelagus had so far failed to distinguish itself, and rumor on House Davion NAIS was that Noius Archipelagus was awaiting a breakthrough in theft of research from New Avalon.[2] In the comming years, while undistinguished as an education center, the institute has developed a number of combat vehicle prototypes and an algorithm for the encryption of communications systems used in battle armor.[1]
