Template:InfoBoxIndividualSpacegoingVessel The DropShip Open Prairie was listed as part of the attached support vessels of Delta Galaxy (Clan Wolf) (aka "The Red Wolves") in a ComStar document dated 1 December 3052, as "Overlord-class Command DropShip".[1] This seems to suggest it is of the Command Overlord subvariant.

Open Prairie successfully landed on Tukayyid in 3052, bringing the "Red Wolves" under Conal Ward to take part in the titanic Battle of Tukayyid.[2]

Notes

  • It should be noted that sources from the early Clan Invasion era have been known to (mis-)report Clan DropShips, particularly of the Broadsword, Union-C and Overlord-C classes, as vessels of equivalent Inner Sphere classes, namely the Leopard, Union, and Overlord.[3] This leaves a distinct possibility that the Open Prairie was in fact an Overlord-C. However, at the same time, other sources differentiated between these designs and still observed both Clan designs and their Inner Sphere predecessor designs serving side-by-side among the invading Clans. Though not specifically referring to it as a Command Overlord, the Battle of Tukayyid anthology story We Do the Impossible specifically calls out the Open Prairie as an Overlord while referring to the Snarl as an Overlord-C, acknowledging the difference between their types.[2]
