Overton is located near the Rhodos and New Crete systems and is Rimward from Terra.[2]

System History

The Overton system was colonized at some time prior to 2750 during the reign of the Star League and has largely been under the control of the Capellan Confederation throughout its history.[3]

Overton III, or simply Overton, was a temperate to tropical world used mainly as a logistical hub. The world was orbited by a single moon named Heysham.[1]

Planetary History

The Jihad

When Duke George Hasek launched his offensive against the Capellan Confederation under the name Operation SOVEREIGN JUSTICE, Overton was one of the worlds targeted as the Federated Suns forces encircled the worlds of the former St. Ives Compact. Overton was captured in the week of 2 July 3068 by the First Federated Suns Lancers.[25] Overton would remain in the hands of George Hasek, until the Capellan counteroffensive, Operation THUNDERSTRIKE in October 3068, when the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces Fifteenth Dracon and the remains of Warrior House Ijori retook the world, but suffered heavy losses. [33]
