Paul Calvin was the commanding officer of the Nineteenth Cavalry Regiment of the Eridani Light Horse as of 3061.[1]

Colonel Calvin was a member of a multi-generational ELH family, with his mother Darlene Olsen having piloted a Phoenix Hawk in the Fiftieth Heavy Cavalry Battalion's First Recon Company. Calvin began his military career as an ELH recruit and steadily worked his way up the ranks until attaining the rank of colonel and being given command of the new Nineteenth Cavalry Regiment. A solid warrior with a firm grasp of light cavalry tactics, Calvin's understanding of combined-arms tactics was considered remarkable. Calvin was also a quiet man of simple tastes and, while he was proud of and honored by the reputation he had in the ELH, worried that his promotion to regimental command would fully isolate him from his men.[2]
Calvin, serving with the Ninteenth Cavalry Regiment, was stationed on Kittery in 3062.[1] By 3067, Calvin still commanded the Nineteenth Cavalry and was stationed on Dieron.[3]
