Raina Montose - 31st Century Clan Trueborn MechWarrior, Officer, and Khan of Clan Ice Hellion from mid-3060s & early 3070s.

Character Brief

Early Life & Career

In her early career, Raina was Bloodnamed Commanding office of Alpha Galaxy's 40th Hellion Lancers. During her stay of command, she deployed her force as a rapid advance and assault unit, specialized in carrying Elemental Battle Armor into battle some roles as to deploy them as Command Headhunters. Khan Asa Taney deployed her Cluster in flanking actions to disrupt enemy's formations in battle.[1]

During her time in service of Alpha Galaxy, Khan Taney's lead the entire Clan in decline. With his ill-temper manner and lack of foresight when conducting trials that end disaster for Clan. Warriors of her Clan could not be lead by Taney any longer and conducted number of Trial of Grievance against Khan Taney. Four Warriors, including saKhan Sellen Cage, had been killed by him with his Aerospace Fighter. However, Raina challenged the seemly ill-temper Khan and defeated him, shooting down his fighter. Ice Hellion's Clan Council removed Asa removed him from rank of Khan. Raina won support when time came to vote for new Khan, making her Khan of the Ice Hellions in 3065.[2]

As Khan of the Ice Hellions

After taking the Khanship from Asa, she choose Conner Rood from Beta Galaxy to become her saKhan. She then undertook the task to undo the damage done for past couple of decades. With her leadership, she help reinforce garrison commanders's confidence leading them to successfully defend Clan enclaves from being taken.

Despite her Clan's Weaknesses and lack strength to gain more territories, she moved to strengthen her front-line Galaxies with vehicle oriented Flurry Clusters. She gave weekly state of the Clan addresses to try bolster her Clan's spirits.[3]

Invasion of Jade Falcon's OZ

Over the years since taking title of Khan, her clans confidence improved. However, Raina planned more ambitious plan to strengthen her Clan, at the cost of others. In 3071, moved her all her Clan's frontline forces to Inner Sphere to invade Clan Jade Falcon's Occupational Zone. In gambit, she through her Clan entire Touman into this invasion. She divided the Touman into two Task Forces, each guide by herself and saKhan Rood. In June 3071, she lead her Alpha Galaxy teamed with Delta & Zeta Prime Galaxy in task to capture large swath of the Falcon's Industrial worlds.

For first six months of the campaign, she and her Task Force had succeeding in seizing and holding large swath of worlds. However, by December tide had turn on them, as Jade Falcons, now backed by Hell's Horses begun their counter-assaults started inflict heavy damage to her forces and lose ground. She and her Galaxy were force retreat number times until withdrawing to Vantaa, where she made her Clan's final stand in March 3072. In course of the Battle for Vantaa, she get word of saKhan Rood's accepting Hegira at Dark Nebula. She is furious, rebuke's similar offer by Falcon/Hell's Horse forces on Vantaa. She dies in battle with her Alpha & Zeta Prime Galaxies, but not before inflicting significant damage against the opposing forces and planet's life support giving systems.[4][5]

Legacy

Khan Montose's failed invasion left Ice Hellion's Touman sundered.

Note

Khan Mostone's invasion left her Clan's holdings vulnerable to conquest. Leading to the possibley that Clan's final destruction accured after Inner Sphere Clans' communication was cut off.
