Planetary History

Clan Invasion

Rastaban was invaded by Clan Wolf in January 3052 as part of Operation Revival's Fifth Wave. At the time the planet was defended by the 2nd Knights of St. Cameron, along with the 1st Rastaban Armored Brigade consisting of a battalion of 'Mechs, two regiments of heavy armor and a regiment of mechanized infantry. As devout disciples of House Cameron the Knights were at first unsure whether to fight the Clans or honor these descendants of the SLDF, but in the end they decided to uphold their contract with the Federated Commonwealth. When the 3rd Battle Cluster made landfall and began their march towards the capital Castle City, the 2nd made their stand at Hill 3032. Although they fought with much valor this was not enough, and an entire battalion was wiped out when they were surrounded and chose to fight to the last man rather than surrender. Most of the rest of the Knights died in the subsequent battle at Sanguine Valley.[9]
