Description

The Reaper is a early Self-Propelled Artillery Support Vehicle, designed to provide long range fire-support for troops in the field from a considerable distance.

History

Conceived by one of the Terran Hegemony first commanding generals, Field Marshal Mears Coblitz, the Reaper was part of the effort by the Marshal to modernized the HAF's left over Terran Alliance equipment. The Reaper was introduced primarily to support the Hegemony's Regiments and Brigade level artillery battalions. The vehicle replaced the old Alliance dated static, towed, and self-propelled artillery. It was a welcome addition to Hegemony's arsenal due to Alliance's long years of neglect it's army's Artillery Corps. The Reaper trial fire first came during the later part of Terra's Campaign of Persuasion. It would continue to serve until 2348, when became obsoleted by newer designs with what would become standard technology in later centuries to come. Few examples of the Reaper would remain by the Thirty-First Century, these handful of relics would found on both on New Earth and Terra as ceremonial vehicles[3]

Weapons and Equipment

The Reaper utilizes what would be termed in later years as Primitive Technology. The vehicle powered by a Internal Combustion Engine with one ton fuel. Not necessarily intended for direct combat with it's opponents, the vehicle was given a modest amount of armor protection of 3.5 tons of BAR 6 Armor to safe guard it.

The vehicle's main weapon is it's Thumper Artillery Piece with it's three tons of ammunition. The gun guided by it's Advanced Fire Control is used to fire on troops down range and incoming aircraft. It ammunition bay capacity allows for different options of different types ammo if desired. The vehicle's only self-defense weapon is it's front mounted Small Laser.[4]
