Leutnant-Colonel Rebecca Thompson was a Lyran Commonwealth aerospace fighter pilot during the First Succession War.[1]

History[edit]

Rebecca was a highly decorated pilot, who had a long career during the First Succession War.

One notable engagement occurred in February 2787, when while under the commander of her husband Colonel Thompson, Rebecca participated in a failed attempt to protect Bolson Shipyards in the New Kyoto system from Free Worlds League raiders. During an initial attempt to stop the FWLS Rasalas, Rebecca's fighter was disabled, leading her husband to believe she had died. Colonel Thompson subsequently launched a kamikaze suicide attack on the FWLS Rasalas, which while it disabled the WarShip, left the out of control vessel to plunge into and destroy the shipyards he was trying to protect with his life.

Despite her husband's death, Rebecca recovered from her injuries, and continued to serve in the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces.[1]

Aerospace fighter[edit]

Rebecca was known to have piloted a Chippewa heavy aerospace fighter, which she had nicknamed "The Hepburn". Following her husband's death in February 2787, she kept this fighter painted black.[1]
