The Red River was a modified Union-class DropShip owned by the Eridani Light Horse in the twenty-eighth century.
Operational History[edit]
In 2798, the Red River was assigned to carry the Fiftieth Heavy Cavalry Battalion, part of the 151st Light Horse Regiment. On 13 June, it departed from the planet Sendai, after the Eridanis had terminated their contract with the Draconis Combine. After hearing Sendai's administrator Kol Dojiro had captured the Fiftieth and Eighth Recon Battalions' dependents and executed them in the Sendai Massacre, they turned back, landing on Aobayama City.[1]
After the Eridanis had taken revenge, the Red River departed again on 23 June, carrying the Fiftieth.[2]
