Planetary History

On the 6th of June 3072 Regulus city was set ablaze by the 49th Shadow Division; the Word of Blake unit surprised the planetary defenders when they executed an unwarned combat drop into the center of the city before setting the city on fire.[16][17] The 50th Shadow Division then visited Regulus on the 30th of March 3076, where Precentor Manei Domini Apollyon issued a stark warning to Prince Titus Cameron-Jones against what Apollyon termed "military adventurism."[18][19]

On the 15th of July 3077 it was reported that the 3rd Free Worlds Guards had arrived on Regulus to pledge their collective loyalty to the Principality of Regulus. This move was met with some skepticism by the press due to the very real concern that the arrival of the 3rd Guards was an attempt by the Word of Blake to gain an operational presence within the Principality, as seemed likely given that the 3rd Guards had last been reported to be on Wing fighting on behalf of the Blakists against Devlin Stone's allied coalition forces. However, as stated by General Thomas Orfelt, the Principality couldn't turn it's back on fellow countrymen if the 3rd Guards were genuine in their desire to defect to the Principality.[20]
