History
Rho Galaxy has often served as the garrison Galaxy for Roche. Assigned to protect the various Goliath Scorpion production sites, Rho's units consist of heavy and assault 'Mechs, supported by heavy AeroSpace and large numbers of Elementals. Roche is frequently buffeted by storms, so Rho Galaxy is skilled in fighting in harsh conditions. To maintain their edge they often act as the aggressor in wargames with Delta Galaxy.
The 8th Scorpion Grenadiers were transferred to Delta Galaxy by 3072[1] and the 10th Scorpion Dragoons to Beta Galaxy by 3073.[2]
The Galaxy pulled off Roche in 3079 and headed for Waypoint 531. In 3080 Rho landed on Cordoba finding the Umayyad's Second Corps and the Castillan's Second Brigada were already locked in combat. The Galaxy easily overran both units and quickly took control of the system.[3]
By 3086 the 5th Scorpion Cuirassiers had been transferred to Beta Galaxy and Rho disbanded.[4]
Officers
As of 3061 the commanding officer was Galaxy Commander Julian Kirov.[5][6]
Tactics
The units of Rho Galaxy can pilot their machines effectively even when their sensors are blinded by weather.
