Overview

Riot Shields are crowd-control devices traditionally used by police to deflect thrown objects and herd rioters out of an area which have continued to see use into the thirty-third century. Modern riot shields are typically concave rectangles measuring a meter wide by a meter and a half tall, made of a bullet-and-laser resistant transparent polymer. If properly set at the right angle, these shields can deflect away a variety of projectiles.[1]
