Tai-sa Seijun Noketsuna was the commander of the First Ghost Regiment, with the Draconis Combine, as of 3145.[1]

History[edit]

During the Combine's invasion of the Federated Suns, Noketsuna and the First Ghost conquered David, though due to delays they were beaten to their next target of Mara by the Sixth Benjamin Regulars. Furious at the slight, Noketsuna and the First visited their anger at the city of Sling on David, leaving it destroyed.

During the taking of David, one of Noketsuna's more successful subordinates was Sho-sa Gerald Yamamoto, a descendant of famous World War II Japanese admiral Isoroku Yamamoto. Yamamoto won the Bushido Blade for his actions on David, when he captured a fortified Federated Suns bunker network. Noketsuna was not however impressed by Yamamoto, considering him "pissant noble unworthy of his heritage".[2][3]

The destruction of Sling however prompted a reprisal raid by the Elbar based First Ceti Hussars, which managed to destroy two of Noketsuna's BattleMech Companies, before retreating. That this was caused by Noketsuna's lack of discipline did not please Gunji-no-Kanrei Matsuhari Toranaga, who indicated to Noketsuna that if another such failure arose, it would cost Noketsuna his life. He however was allowed to retain command of the First Ghost, with who he remained on David as of December 3145.[1][4]
