Steven Nishimura was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's 287th Heavy Assault Regiment as of 2764.[1]

Leading a Regiment with little to occupy it, Nishimura and his troops spent their time dueling who they considered the "wannabe samurai" of the Pesht Regulars, racking up a 3:1 lead in victories. His Corps procurement staff did however request he reduce the number of these encounters, as the cost of damaged equipment was considered quite expensive.[1]
