All - I have severe concerns that large sections of the recently added material have been copied word for word from the Luthien scenario pack book, sometimes with mere superficial changes. I would ask that one of the Admins weigh in if they have an opinion. Thanks. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 12:48, 2 November 2013 (PDT)

:: I have reworded the entire document, and I'm happy to keep working on it, if people still think its too close to the original. There are a couple of instances of quoted speech that obviously are still word for word, but this can be removed or summarised. Please let me know. --Dark Jaguar (talk) 03:41, 3 November 2013 (PST)

::: I still don't like the "0530 Hours, 04 January 3052" headers. Yes, many of the presented scenarios were important. But that doesn't mean those times are the end-all, be-all. Take a look at Invading Clans, the Field Manuals and even Blood Legacy. Those date and time headers seem to imply that those were the defining moments of the battle. I can make a good argument that they weren't. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 08:25, 10 November 2013 (PST)

Problem with the Scenario Pack?

Given the dubious nature of the Luthien scenario pack as expressed by the former Line Developer, I'm hesitate to rely on it too much in writing out this article. I know that Invading Clans (sourcebook) goes into some detail about Luthien under the Smoke Jaguar and Nova Cat sections, but I'm wondering if there are any other sources out there which could also be used to flesh out this battle? LittleWolf (talk) 14:02, 21 October 2013 (PDT)

Those two source books have most information and also agree on the Cluster numbers/names. Clan troops has a little, but may also be a little dubious. There is some information in Era report: 3052 (notably making Dorian Wirth a galaxy Commander instead of saKhan) and of course the novels. Smiley.gif - Dark Jaguar (talk) 14:17, 21 October 2013 (PDT)
Yeah, Clan Troops is another one I'm weary about - after all it claims that Clan Wolf was the one to capture Santander's World among other things! I think so long as the information can be verified in another source it would be safe to include it, don't know when I will be able to get around to this article though.LittleWolf (talk) 14:22, 22 October 2013 (PDT)
Does it say they captured the planet? I always liked to think of it as the Wolves doing the Jags a "favour" by tipping off the defenders with a pre-emptive raid. Smiley.gif I have an account of Luthien based on the senario book I wrote some time ago, I can put that up for you to have a look at if you like - probably need a fair bit of editing though. - Dark Jaguar (talk) 14:33, 22 October 2013 (PDT)
The best way to handle it is to compare the scenario pack and Clantroops to later sources; while the Scenario pack has errors, unless the information is shown to be incorrect or is replaced by a later canon source, then it's still canon. I'm guessing Era Report: 3052 would be another source that should have some detail on Luthien, as well as Invading Clans. If there's anything that causes a major problem, the best bet is to ask a question in the Ask The Writers forum - I've got a stack of questions (answered and unanswered) referenced on my user page or talk page, where I've done my best to clarify things and track where the official responses are, ready for me to add to pages here. Unfortunately Era Report 3052 does not have much to say on the subject that isn't said elsewhere in more detail. - Dark Jaguar (talk) 17:07, 25 October 2013 (PDT)
