Disbanded and renamed units & formations

I think that old formations like Chesterton Reserves and older units that were renamed should be somehow made recognizably in the listing or even put into a separate list to distinguish them from the current units & formations. That is maybe a bit more than the listings of other houses need but none of them made such waste changes like the CCAF, just look at units like the Kincade's Rangers that went thru 3 different parent formations and then even got a new name, you just don't find something like that in the other houses. But like the list of the other houses where disbanded formations & units are listed I think those should also stay in the CCAF list but should somehow be made recognizably as the list is at the moment a bit confusing for my taste.--BigDuke66 01:27, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

That's the problem with naming the regiment after its CO. What's wrong with including a listing for a destroyed brigade and noting in its description that it is defunct and why? --Scaletail 02:01, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Nothings wrong but there should be some system behind shuffling the entries of the listing around. For my taste the formations like Chesterton Reserves that ceased to exist should go to another entry, best as point 4 moving the other entries further down the list. Units that ceased to exist are already recognizable but I think units that were renamed should be too especially when they end up in a new formation under a different name, also a small sentence that is dropped in if any units of a formation were moved to another formation would be good. Some of all this is already in and if anyone else is fine with it I will continue to complete it that way, but before I'll check some source to be sure anything is on the list before I adjust something.--BigDuke66 19:59, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Preston's Lancers

Is anyone able to provide info for Preston's Lancers? Similar to the Confederation Reserve Cavalry units Preston's Lancers only show up in the deployment table and once in the text of the old House Liao sourcebook and then nothing, nor source seems to mention them anymore.--BigDuke66 20:03, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

I wonder if this unit is somehow a mix up of another. If so much of the unit survived why aren't they ever mentioned again after the 4th SW? For now the unit is still missing on the units listing because I really don't now were to put it especially as the Preston's Lancers are mentioned in the Liao source book p. 68 with other big formations like Capellan Hussars etc. just like they were themselves a big formation but when looking at the deployment table in the sourcebook they are just 1 regiment.--BigDuke66 20:46, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

I can see where you'd get that impression, but on the deployment table on page 106 in House Liao, it clearly states that the unit is composed of three battalions.
