I think Crossbow might actually just be a model of SRM launcher, I don't think there's actually anything special about it. Could be the same case with Javelin LRM launchers. ~Amaroq Starwind~ (talk) 13:33, 25 March 2018 (EDT)

You are pretty much bang on, As far as I am aware there is no real functional difference. But given that the MechAssault games consistently treat it as a named weapon system rather than a brand, but at the same time we don't actually have much in the way of official stats so it could be anything. On that note, it is kind of weird that in the first MechAssault, energy weapons require ammunition, and yet mechs can fire their missiles almost indefinitely. At least they got Heat Management right... ~Amaroq Starwind~ (talk) 16:04, 25 March 2018 (EDT)
Correction: The ammunition system in MechAssault is just... Weird. It is like every weapon has three 'levels", regardless of the type (projectile, energy, missile, whatever), and at levels 2 and 3 they are more powerful but need ammunition, and when they run out of ammo they go back to level one where they are at their weakest but have infinite ammunition. How in Kerensky did the game designers pull that? ~Amaroq Starwind~ (talk) 20:51, 25 March 2018 (EDT)
I had not noticed that aspect!--Dmon (talk) 16:48, 25 March 2018 (EDT)
Oookay - so that means we don't actually have enough information about specific MechAssault weapon systems to reasonably assume they aren't standard weapon systems, and these articles (and links to them) should be undone, right? If yes, we need to move quickly while we can still see the edits on the Recent Changes page. With categories currently not updating, this is a bit of a pain to keep track of.
Can I presume we have user consensus that they should be deleted speedily? Frabby (talk) 17:13, 25 March 2018 (EDT)
I feel we need something, partly for reasons I explained in another thread, but if not I shall abandon the project and go back to my other ones.--Dmon (talk) 17:33, 25 March 2018 (EDT)
