Talk:Disputed Territories

Notability?[edit]

I'm unhappy with this article's title - it is way too generic. Does any canonical source actually use the apellation "disputed territories" for these particular worlds (which, on top of it, don't even appear to disputed at all). Overall, I have doubts concerning the notability of the article subject. But it's obviously a work in progress so a renaming might make it clearer. Frabby (talk) 08:54, 16 November 2013 (PST)

This is what Shattered Sphere called them. Aldous (talk) 09:01, 16 November 2013 (PST)
Ah, ok. Then perhaps the article should be renamed "Disputed Territories (Chaos March)" or somesuch, or be merged into the Chaos March article if it isn't too long. Frabby (talk) 09:17, 16 November 2013 (PST)
No. Disputed Territories and Chaos March aren't the same since the Chaos March worlds really wanted independence. There's a map somewhere the details which planets are Chaos March and which Disputed Territories but I'm damned if I can find it again. Maybe a link in the Chaos March entry to here? Not to be rude, but what exactly is this page aiming at covering? -BobTheZombie (talk) 09:47, 16 November 2013 (PST)
This page is intended to cover those 24 pro-Capellan worlds that the CCAF couldn't retake due to lack of resources. Its basically a region of the Chaos March like the Sarna Supremacy and Styk Commonality. I am thinking of updating the Chaos March page as well as the Capellan Civil War page with it. I tend to agree the title is too generic, over the centuries of BattleTech there are hundreds of disputed territories. Are there any other sources that refer to them by that title, and why is that title used if they are uniformly pro-Capellan? The article doesn't say why they are disputed or by whom?Cyc (talk) 12:23, 16 November 2013 (PST)
Agree with Frabby and Cyc, and the other question is in what category we put the page, i want to move the page to Disputed Territories (Chaos March).--Doneve (talk) 20:14, 16 November 2013 (PST)
