Arcturan Lancers[edit]

Based on circumstancial evidence, it is my belief that the Arcturan Lancers unit Katrina served in was exclusively a conventional unit (meaning no mechs). The Arcturan Lancers are mentioned no place else on this site, but the conventional units were often given names like that. Does anyone else disagree? ClanWolverine101

Hmm, Katrina was noted as a MechWarrior.Doneve 18:18, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Combined arms? --Dmon 18:29, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
IIRC, she became a MechWarrior in Masters and Minions: The StarCorps Dossiers. It was a recent development, not a pre-FCCW achievement.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 20:57, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Uhm, Revanche? We were talking about the REAL Katrina. Not Katherine-the-she-bitch-from-hell? :)
Seriously though - read her bio. Despite her skill as a mechwarrior, she served in multiple branches of the LCAF, beginning as an Infantry-woman with the Arcturan Lancers.
We rarely get the names of conventional units. If you don't know what I'm talking about, click on an RCT and read the names of all the non-mech units. Its rather eye-opening. ClanWolverine101
LOL....mea culpa. The sad thing is I can remember there only being one Katrina Steiner. --Revanche (talk|contribs) 13:48, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
Absolutely - I can, too. :) Remember that forces loyal to Katherine called her "Katrina" and those opposed to her called her "Katherine"? Remember it was such a crock, since Katrina was known for her military service while Katherine had never so much as held a gun? There's a loooong story there. :) ClanWolverine101

Periphery adventure/Red Corsair[edit]

Appearantly there is a short story, Vanish, which was briefly available for download and was included in the limited edition version of A Time of War which fills in Katrina's disappearance in the Periphery in 3004/3005. If anyone has a copy of that story some information from it should probably be added to this article. It would also allow the missing "Red Corsair (3004)" article to be simply turned into a redirect to this page. BPSteiner (talk) 08:48, 23 February 2013 (PST)

Wish I had it. Stackpole wanted to write a whole novel about it after the Blood of Kerensky trilogy. ROC wouldn't let him, since prequels were seen as a non-seller. ClanWolverine101 (talk) 11:10, 23 February 2013 (PST)
Pity, Stackpole's books were usually some of my favorites. For the time being I might just add that redirect and hope that someone who does have the limited edition is nice enough to help us out with this. There is quite a discussion about this issue going on in talk:Red Corsair (3004) though it hasn't turned up anything significantly different. BPSteiner (talk) 07:47, 25 February 2013 (PST)
