:Clan Wolf does sibkos a little differently than the other Clans, from what I can gather.  Basically, as sibko get smaller, they start to merge them as they approach their warrior testing.  Further, this is pretty much word of god, as Ranna explicitly says they're sibkin in [[Lethal Heritage]], and it's a big of a plot point as to why she went to Vlad to "talk" with him over her confusing feelings for Phelan.  --[[User:Peregry|Peregry]] 18:05, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Sibko[edit]

"Ranna was born into the same sibko as Vlad Ward, Evantha Fetladral, and Carew Nygren". I always thought, a sibko is formed from descendants of two genetic legacies exclusively (like the Mattlov/Pride Sibko from which Aidan Pryde came) and that a warrior can only obtain a bloodname to which he is genetically linked, how can members of the same Sibko have 4 different bloodnames?RagTag 16:26, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Clan Wolf does sibkos a little differently than the other Clans, from what I can gather. Basically, as sibko get smaller, they start to merge them as they approach their warrior testing. Further, this is pretty much word of god, as Ranna explicitly says they're sibkin in Lethal Heritage, and it's a big of a plot point as to why she went to Vlad to "talk" with him over her confusing feelings for Phelan. --Peregry 18:05, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

The merging sibkos things is pure conjecture on my part, frankly. It is a logical reason for the fact that Clan Wolf had a sibko with four different bloodnames and all three pheonotypes though. --Peregry 22:14, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
It's still odd, how do you train one sibko with three different phenotypes? Blending MechWarriors and Elementals or vehicle crews, okay, that might work and even enhance combined arms abilities, but ASF-pilots? they would surely be, err, lets say "dominated" physically by their sibkin, maybe to the degree of being smashed under the fists of an enraged elemental "cousin"... but you're right, I couldn't think of any other explanation myself. I think this is wrapped up in the fact that the Blood of Kerensky trilogy is the first series of books where the Clans appeared (Wolf's Dragoons notwithstanding). Many of Stackpole's initial descriptions of Clan life & culture were tweaked and this seems to be but one example. --Scaletail 16:14, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
