Talk:Sarna Challenge 1: Dark Age Era Reading

Starter Discussion

How should this project be presented? List? Table? Sortable? What are the other options?--Revanche (talk|contribs) 11:18, 5 June 2021 (EDT)

My take on the minimal required reading to understand Hour of the Wolf. It's very Clan heavy, but most of the Great House fiction is ultimately a sideshow. --Ebakunin (talk|contribs) 12:57, 6 June 2021 (EDT)

My take on this can be found here --Deadfire (talk) 13:30, 6 June 2021 (EDT)
I am thinking that these two lists help us define (as a starting point) each of the products as one of three ratings:
  • Must read: any title that appears on both of your lists
  • Optional: any title that appears on only one of your lists (unless other can be persuaded to add it)
  • Unnecessary: not on either list.

Ok, I've created the list by merging your two lists. I've also considered that the CGL Recommended Reading List is already outdated (and there is no guarantee CGL will update it), so I'm expanding the challenge to include all Dark Age products, not just the ones on their list. However, your lists included three products that I (a non-novel reader) don't think belong on it.
* Forever Faithful: crosses over the Dark age, but is considered a Clan Invasion era novel
* Icons of War: a Jihad era novella
* Hour of the Wolf: an ilClan era novel
Why should these three be considered essential for understanding the Dark Age?--Revanche (talk|contribs) 09:47, 7 June 2021 (EDT)
