Planetary History

Star League

Prior to the Fall of the Star League, Tantara was the headquarters world of the Star League Defense Forces LVII Corps (Star League) and 12th Jump Infantry Division. The local population was against having the SLDF forces on world and protests numbering in the thousands of civilians were common.[30]

Tantara's second moon, Kalinda, served as the homeport of the 6th Fleet (SLDF) of the Star League Navy. While there were naval offices on Tantara itself, they were minor. It was not uncommon to have one or more squadrons of warships in system.[31]
