History[edit]
Thaddeus Cole received a confidential briefing from the Ministry of Information, Intelligence, and Operations warning him about a potential plot against his life and possibly the entire Raman system. Having been implored to reinforce his security detail, Thaddeus reached out to the reputable Nik's Cavaliers in early 3023. Unfortunately before they arrived, an unknown battalion attacked his estate and kidnapped his daughter Samantha along with a number of his personal staff. BattleMech forces also ambushed him while he was en route to meeting the Cavaliers. He received minor injuries but managed to escape and take shelter in a nearby town until the Cavaliers could drive the attackers away.[1]
Thaddeus called in the Draconis March Militia and together with the Cavaliers, they descended on the holding facility where the hostages were being held and freed them. Samantha, however, requested to stay with the Cavaliers while she investigated her captors, uncovering the truth that it was her estranged cousin Henrik who was attempting to usurp rule over House Cole with the backing of the Draconis Combine. All the data she collected was handed over to the MIIO in the hopes it might help prevent a future attack.[1]
